Barcelona, April 4, 2012. - Ong ADDA, in view of the events occurred in the town of Torà (Lleida) on Thursday March 29, 2012, in which the deputy mayor, Mr. Josep Maria Alsina i Simó, in presence of the mayor Ms. Merce Valls, allegedly fired three shots at an abandoned dog with a shotgun and then bludgeoned him to death with a blunt object. ADDA Ong has made an official complaint to the Office of Environment of Catalonia for the violation of Article 337 of the Penal Code and the violation of the Law on Protection of Animals in Catalonia in its civil aspect.

Furthermore, Ong ADDA asked for the resignation of deputy mayor, Mr .Josep Maria Alsina i Simó, for contravening the provisions of criminal and civil law.
