Barcelona, September 2014.- From October 1st, Barcelona will have new bylaws for the protection, ownership and sale of animals. The new law replaces previous 2003 legislation.

Changes have been made with the aim of ensuring good coexistence between animals and people and address issues of animal welfare and safety.

One the more important changes is that all dogs will now be allowed to travel on the Barcelona metro, although certain conditions will have to be met.
