EXCALIBUR has already his keepsake book

On Thursday November, 23th, Ong ADDA delivered to Teresa Romero and her husband, Javier Limón a Book of Condolence with 428 messages of support, affection and sympathy for their dog Excalibur arbitrarily and swiftly put to death by the authorities when Teresa, was found to be infected with Ebola.

Carolina Pinedo, Ong ADDA representative in Madrid, handed in the book to the Hospital Carlos III in Madrid for it to be passed on to Teresa and Javier. The handing in took place at 5:30 pm in front of the Hospital and received a wide media coverage.

The messages were collected during the tenth ANIMALADDA Fair, held in Barcelona.

The 428 messages testify to how people felt involved and wished to give comfort to Teresa and her husband Javier.

Below is a selection of the messages recorded in the book of condolence:

"Recover and fight for the rights of your pet."

"Excalibur is the symbol of injustice in this country."

"Excalibur is now infinite and invincible."

"Rest in peace, little one, I know you’ve gone with all the love in the world. Teresa and Javier loved you. Kisses, hugs and licks. "

Ong ADDA said that the hasty decision to kill EXCALIBUR, revealed the level of incompetence and lack of understanding of the authorities towards animals. The decision ignored popular outcry and showed a complete lack of empathy towards Teresa and Javier.
