The French anti- bullfighting Federation FLAC, co-founded by ADDA in 1992, is delighted to announce that Pablo Picasso’s granddaughter, Marina Ruiz-Picasso is to become a member of the Honorary Committee of the Federation . Marina Ruiz-Picasso sent her acceptance of the invitation by means of a handwritten letter in which she declares herself to be “very sensitive to the suffering of animals" and believes that "we must protect the relationship between children and animals from the effects that cruelty of bullfighting has on children".
In her book “Grandfather” Marina Ruiz-Picasso recalls " the trauma suffered when, as a child, she saw the torture and killing of bulls in the ring. Her grandfather, Pablo Picasso had a passion for bullfighting and often took his grandchildren to bullfights. Source: FLAC
