Barcelona, July 17th, 2016.- Ong ADDA distances itself from the violent comments in social networks after the death of bullfighter Victor Barrio, last July 10th, during a bullfight in Teruel.

Carmen Méndez, President of Ong ADDA, declared to media that ""such comments are unpleasant: "Those who denounce the violence inflicted on animals should not applaud violence against a person".

She also emphasized to Agency EFE that "any death is regrettable" and that "the bullfighting supporters must reconsider bullfighting shows and should be the most affected by these tragic events. “It is absurd that a person dies in a show " nonetheless “every year in Spain people deaths are recorded in bullfight cruel festivals. The Administration should take into account these facts as a priority and consider the abolition of bullfight once and for good”.
