ADDA says NO to Hunting

On February 5, 2017, the Plataform "No to hunting with greyhounds" and other dog breeds, organized simultaneous demostrations in 25 Spanish cities. Ngo ADDA took part in the demostration held in Barcelona to protest against the use of greyhounds (Spanish galgos), who are abandoned or condemned to a painful and cruel death by their owners.

Thousand of attendees raised their protests against all kind of hunting practices, such as "hunting à la carte" or "canned hunting" that are transforming our forests into intensive/extensive game hunting farms, with programmed releases of species, with the sole commercial purpose of ensuring income and guaranteeing hunters the number of hunting trofies they paid for.

It is time that the Administration and the hunting lobby evaluate the limits and the consequences of this situation.

Nature and biodiversity are a shared heritage; the respect for animals and for people who wanted to safely enjoy nature - ramblers, tourists, photographers, summer camps, et - must be a priority.
