Barcelona, June 2011.- February 23, 2011 saw the launch of the "première" of the Documentary “ ARTICLE 337 ” which deals with the subject of animal mistreatment in the written Penal Code. The aim of the documentary is to show the ambiguity of the content of the article as it exists and to propose a re-drafting that would transform it into something truly exemplary .

“ ARTICLE 337 ” presents different interviews and situations, with special emphasis on the fate of greyhounds in Castilla-La Mancha. It finishes with a reference to the Animaladda event which is held in autumn each year in Barcelona.

From a beginning, Ong ADDA has aimed for something that will help all groups who work for the welfare of domestic animals to raise public awareness. The objective being to obtain the necessary support so that the Legislative body will address the issues that are essential to bring an end to animal maltreatment and the abandonment of domestic animals.
The documentary was broadcast by Channel 2 of Spanish Television on July 9 and 10, 2011, reaching a large audience. In addition the programme is to be broadcast by the TVE International Channel and on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CypNdgpn05E
